News & Surprises
Posted on | March 1, 2010 | No Comments
Tons of good news! Dan & Kyle have been working hard on the new EP, and songs are coming together great. The rest of us have some of the previews, and even a few finished tracks, and the sound has definitely been expanded from the first EP. I’d love to share them all, but Dan’s got them under lock within the band until mastering. Trust me, they’re best at full mastered quality anyways.
The band has been revamping the live set and we’ve worked out a new stage layout to be more efficient with all the equipment we have set up. We’ve got some new gear to share and even a few surprises coming your way. Although we’re still finishing up some of the tracks for the second album during March (including some full band live recording), we’ll be testing some of the new gear/stage setup at our upcoming shows in April & May.
Keep your eyes open for other news and info.. Like I said: Surprises! I don’t wanna spoil anything, but word on the street is there’s possibly some free tickets, maybe some hardcopies of the album, and a few other goodies that might just be passed out to some of our fans in the next couple weeks. If you want to be in the right place at the right time, make sure you’re:

UCLA’s Spring Sing and New EP?
Posted on | February 3, 2010 | No Comments
We have been invited to play at UCLA’s Spring Sing held in Pauley Pavillion this May! The guys and I are super excited for this. I can feel my heart flutter just thinking about it :) What is Spring Sing you ask? Well, basically the show is a huge production UCLA puts together every year that showcases a handful of solo artists, acapella groups and bands from the Los Angeles area. It’s sort of a talent show on steriods, since we will be performing a single song in front of an audience of 10,000 people. I’ll try to get some videos up soon of us rehearsing for it. We’ll have more details for you about the show as it approaches.
If you are following us on Twitter you may have caught a small preview we posted up of a track called “Lovers”. You can have a listen here if you missed it. We’ve been in the studio a lot lately and plan to have an EP out hopefully this spring. I think we’ve finally started to develop our “sound” as a band and that makes me feel really good. The tracks are more upbeat than what we’ve done before and they will be a blast to play live.
That’s all for now. I must now attend to my 3 tacos from Chipotle. Catch you later!
-Dan
